ALAN DOWN RECYCLING
WASTE TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL - TECHNOLOGIES AND COMPONENTS
Information
The ALAN DOWN RECYCLING is a system for the separation and recovery of down from post-consumer padded products. The ALAN DOWN RECYCLING meets the needs of recycling and separating the filling material (down or feather) from the rest of the padded product to be recycled, all with a minimum presence of operators. The operator selects the items to be recycled and places them in the feeder belt, these end up broken down by a multi-shaft shredder. The product thus reduced is transported by a dedicated conveyor belt and then fed into the sorting tower, where air flows and dedicated beater combs separate the filling material from the textile part and from the other elements that made up the starting product, such as buttons and zippers. Down is transported by a controlled air flow which also acts as a means of transport to subsequent processing. At the same time, the solid and heavy fraction decays and is collected inside a collection bin. The machine can process any type of padded item from which the down can be extracted, such as jackets, sleeping bags, pillows and duvets/quilts. The efficiency of the process and its productivity guarantee the best return on investment and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) available on the market. The ALAN DOWN RECYCLING can be integrated with additional features in order to adapts to be easily integrated with the next process steps of the sorted down.
