Information
The River Cleaning Plastic system aims to provide public agencies and reclamation consortia with an effective and scalable tool to fight river, marine, and coastal pollution caused by dispersed waste.
Globally, plastic pollution (in particular) damages the economy by more than $3.7 trillion. Most of the damage is caused by cleanup and remediation costs, but losses are also large for the construction, fishing and tourism sectors. For this reason, the Blue Economy actively seeks solutions for water conservation.
The River Cleaning Plastic system, thanks to the modular structure formed by rotating buoys without the need for power, is able to intercept up to 95 percent of the waste, at the same time conveying it to a collection point from which it is easily extracted. The system works autonomously, 24/7, without causing damage to the surrounding environment.
In case of passing boats, the River Cleaning system can be designed to open temporarily.
The River Cleaning barrier can be controlled and operated remotely, to perform self-cleaning or securing operations, via app. It is also equipped with sensors to monitor water velocity and electric motors to position itself autonomously out of the water in dangerous river conditions.
Finally, it is energy self-sufficient.
