L'azienda fu fondata in 1970 e ha gestito più di 10 milioni tonnelate di rifiuti e distrutto i componenti pericolosi contenenti. Negli ultimi anni GSB ha investito più di 300 Mio € in sicurezza e infrastruttura per garantire il funzionamento degli impianti. Con i suoi forni GSB gestice l'impianto più grande in Europa centrale.
