Reconstruction in Ukraine should be green: energy efficiency, decarbonization, environmental technologies and products
Information
Organized by: All Ukrainian NGO Living Planet
The total amount of damage caused to the infrastructure of Ukraine due to the full-scale invasion of Russia is $143.8 billion. International partners are ready to help Ukraine rebuild the country, including financing a number of initiatives within the framework of the Recovery Plan. EU support will be based on the principle of "Build Back Better" in line with the sustainability goals of the European Green Deal. Essentially, the funding requirement is a practical green mechanism proposed by the European Commission in a related communiqué. Kyiv and Rome are united by strong relations of cooperation, military and economic support; and, in the run, from future aid to recovery from the disasters of the Russian invasion. The memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of environment and sustainable development is formulated in the three Rio Conventions and in the goals of the agenda for the period up to 2030, looking at the perspective of Ukraine's recovery. At the webinar, we will discuss practical steps to implement joint projects that are already at the design stage.
